Last week I mentioned on Facebook about the site design that was completed for Indy Family Resource. I wanted to blog about it so you could find out a little more about the details that went into the website redesign.
Mindy runs the resource site as a community service for her husband, Dan who is a Realtor with ERA Real Estate Links. She has been blogging about community events in the Indianapolis area for about a year and a half on the Blogger platform under the name “For You and the Crew“. When Mindy and I first met to discuss the website redesign, I stressed to her the importance of having a website name that would not only be more descriptive of what her website is all about, but also a name that would be good for SEO purposes. Born from that discussion was the Indy Family Resource name. On the old site, Mindy had lots of great content, but it needed to be more user friendly, easier to navigate and more organized for both the reader and the blogger. We were able to do this with a great calendar function and much more organized resource pages.
