Similar to SouthernCali, The Living Well Spending Less Blog is on it’s 3rd makeover too!  Ruth found me in December of 2010 when we started her first design…it was back in the “blogger” days and it was time to transition her site over to WordPress. Almost 3 years later and 3 re-designs I am blessed to no longer just call Ruth my client, but also a very close friend! Living more than 1,000 miles apart we have gotten to meet up a number of times including spending a day at Disney with our families and being roomies at Blissdom.  Our most recent plans were hang out this past weekend while Ruth and her family headed out on a tour of the midwest..this suddenly got delayed after her terrible car crash! We are just so thankful their entire family was able to WALK away unharmed and are blessed that our “hang out time” will just be postponed!

A few months back a local {and very popular } home decor blogger, Sarah of the Thrifty Decor Chick, organized a little meet up early one Saturday morning before the Vintage Marketplace.  I headed over to the little breakfast get together with my fabulously creative friend Angela from Unexpected Elegance. It’s always a fun time to meet up with bloggers and hear them talk about their sites, what works for them & what doesn’t.  During our meet up, I had the pleasure to sit next to Kerry from HomeCrush Blog.  I was immediately drawn to Kerry’s sweet  personality and her love for design just spilled out!  It wasn’t too long after the meet-up that Kerry called me to re-do her site.  I absolutely LOVE how it turned out…It’s really clean, but also represents her style in how she decorates.  Check out her site here {btw…you can leave a comment on her current post and be entered to win the super popular natural grass wreath from Decor Steals!!}

****How to use the CLEMENTINE SKETCH font****

I have seen this font used in many places, and it has an open ended beginning and end, created on purpose by the font creator. In order to make the font look correct, you can close the front end of the word by using a capital letter.  The last letter of the word must be followed by  the symbol ^ .

This is so the case with Josie over at SouthernCali Saver!  It’s about this time of the year that I get a skype message saying it’s time for a re-do!  And so it goes, I have had the pleasure of doing 3 designs make-overs for SouthernCaliSaver.com over the last 3 years! Mindy  runs the  resource site as a community service for her husband, Dan who is a Realtor with ERA Real Estate Links. She has been blogging about community events in the Indianapolis area for about a year and a half on the Blogger platform under the name “For You and the Crew“. When Mindy and I first met to discuss the website redesign, I stressed to her the importance of having a website name that would not only be more descriptive of what her website is all about, but also a name that would be good for SEO purposes.  Born from that discussion was the Indy Family Resource name. On the old site, Mindy had lots of great content, but it needed to be more user friendly, easier to navigate and more organized for both the reader and the blogger. We were able to do this with a great calendar function and much more organized resource pages.
